Wanted to share some of my photography with you guys! I know you would enjoy and understand it better. Believe or not when I show my photos some people don't even know what corals are, and it's ok, I guess some people still don't know how corals can really look, but I know you all will enjoy them how I would like them to be enjoyed.

Nice pics. Are you using a 100mm 1:1 macro lens?

I do not own any macro lens. I take these with reverse 50mm. I do not recommend this setting, but it is a good cheap one.

Beautiful! Looking foward to more!

thanks sir! 2 more added

i have a million questions. what body are you using is the first.

I use 2 bodies, some of them are taken with a Nikon D700 and some of them are taken with a D7000. The majority with the D7000, i feel more comfortable working around water with that one. And any questions you have go ahead sir, I will answer all of them.

Feel free to share to rest, these are awesome.

Thank you a lot!! it means a lot to me that people actually like these pictures.

If you have a nikon you will need a Nikon 50mm f1.8D it gives you the ability to change F stops manually, because when it is reversed the camera can't do it.

And thanks a lot =) if you have more questions about the reverse ring let me know.

F stop and shutter speed depends on the lighting situation, angle and colors of the coral and no tripod.

well, if you're doing it hand held i'm going to assume the shutter speed is up there or you've got super steady hands. pretty high iso?

I do have steady hands, and popular opinion says that ISO will ruin your coral pictures, I say thats a lie. Some of these pictures are taken in ISO of 1600 or 2000. Obviously the performance under ISO depends on the type of camera you have.

Here we go guys!!! sharing some more pics!! I don't know if I can actually ask for this. But if you can hit my FB page and like it I would appreciate it a lot!! I do not sell any corals, I just share my art in there which right now is macro pictures of corals. The FB logo is in my signature and you can click it. If this is against the rules I will delete the request no problem with that =)
