righttirefire
It's difficult to pin point the origin of these little guy. One is stuck to the others shell. I'm hoping they baby turbos or astrea. I have astreas in the tank and they have they similar "face" but the shell leads me more toward turbo. It's more of a horizontal shell than the vertical shell of a sundial but similar markings as a sundial. Keep in mind the sand is about the same size as these little guys. Link to comment
afyounie
If they are the size of BBs and look like little turbos, they are colonista snails. They are great at cleaning algae and are nocturnal. Link to comment
righttirefire
They've been pretty active during the day on the glass. But hard to find when they get into the sand. They blend in Link to comment
amphipod
The best way to tell the two species apart is sundial snails have a cone shaped operculum, collinistas don't. Take a check. Link to comment
jc2014
I have these same little guys. As per afyounie, they are harmless collonista snails. Not sure why they stick together in pairs, but mine do the same. Sometimes there are tons of them on the glass. They easily multiply on their own in captivity. Link to comment
