TroyMcClure
Hi all, Working on setting up this tank this weekend. I have a comically basic question that perhaps someone can help with. The acrylic backing of the tank has this adhesive brown paper attached (presumably to protect from scratches during shipping). For the life of me, I can figure out an easy way to peel it off. Any ideas?? Thanks! Link to comment
JerryJavelin91
If it is really sticky adhesive like I would take a hair dryer to it lightly. Now this works well with things like hockey sticks and helmets to get stickers off. If you have it to hott you may risk damaging the tank. So start of with low heat and work your way up as needed. Naturalreef
I just set mine up.... Peel off as much as you can in big pieces. If it starts splitting, go to a different corner. It will take a good 20-30 minutes. any stragglers will come off easily after filling the tank with the 24 hour water test. Link to comment
Dlc27
I just set up this same tank not too long ago. That's annoying stuff. No matter how slow and careful you go it will tear, and come off in strips. I used a damp cloth to rub off tiny leftovers, and glue residue after I finally peeled it all away. Link to comment
