markalot
Howdy, I would appreciate help in ID'ing this Acro? It's up near the top of my tank, 450-500 PAR, and a LOT of flow. Seemingly loving life at the moment. Sold as a wild Aussie acro. Link to comment
markalot
Acropora kimbeensis? Interesting. http://coral.aims.gov.au/factsheet.jsp?speciesCode=0444 Some pics look like it, some don't. Really looks like that page is confusing two species, but I think this is a good guess. So far I've come up with 2 using this page: http://www.coralsee.org/NewId/id.html Acropora yongei (same as the slimer). It's next to the slimer and they actually look similar. http://coral.aims.gov.au/factsheet.jsp?speciesCode=0081 -or- Acropora austera - This looks very similar but the description always references polyps with a squarish structure. http://coral.aims.gov.au/factsheet.jsp?speciesCode=0010 Upper slopes, really likes turbulence.
