I would like to know what you think abut the items I have picked out so far and I would love suggestions. API Saltwater Master Test Kit Heater depends on what the climate's like where you live, in my 10G I use a 150w heater since it's pretty much always freezing. I'd go with a controllable Powerhead over a Koralia, they're pretty useless, I'm currently using a Jebao RW4, it's not much more than a Koralia, but it's much more handy. You'll need a 'reef-salt' if you're planning on corals, I use (and reccomended) Red Sea Coral Pro. Sand is fine, live sand isn't necessary but go for it if you want. Dump the Hydrometer and pick up a Refractometer, even the cheapest Refractometer wipes the floor with any Hydrometer. Thermometer is fine. Don't know about the light, you'll have to get one of the LED gurus in here, I will say that 8w sounds very incapable of growing corals. API test kits are fine, you'll want to pick up an Alkalinity Test Kit and Calcium Test Kit if you're going for a reef. Link to comment

I would spend an extra $35 on top of the one you have priced above and find a nice used Par 30 or 38 bulb instead. +1 on a refractometer, hella easier. Everything else sounds great, good luck!
