Osc clowns behavior question

I recently got 2 juvenile os clowns and they have been in the tank for approx 4 days. One of them is what and black other is orange and white. The orange is clearly the most dominant, cornering the other and sometimes very rough with the b and w. However after turning out the lights for the night they almost act as a pair and get along perfectly. The second I turn out the light the b and w becomes brave and the Orange and white becomes friendly and all is calm. I was thinking about returning the black and white tomorrow but wanted to hear your opinions. Are they going through a pairin process or both female?

I have two occy clowns and they too have wildly different personalities depending on if the lights are on or not. (I guess you could say...*puts on sunglasses*...the difference is like night and day!) Yours could be fighting out a hierarchy right now and personally I would let them be and see what happens. But that's just me.

Clowns are strange indeed.

Don't be alarmed if it starts up again. It'can be a long process :)

You should start to see one of the clowns have what looks like seizures as well which just means it is submitting to the other clown (they can look quite violent but is harmless). Your orange clown will most likely become the female and the other will become the male.
