Are these hitchhikers safe to keep?

These are just a few of the hitchhikers that came with my rock from Gulf Live Rock; the anemone and the white gelatinous blob that looks like something is inside. I have several of the anemones. Are they safe to keep in my 10 gallon reef?

Another picture of the anemone. I believe that this is an aiptasia anemone. . I have this larger one and at least a half dozen smaller ones. If I am correct with the identification it looks like they need to go based upon my reading.

Looking for any advice.

Yep you are rt its Aiptasia if the are all ready spreading you have a good fight on your hands. Chemical removal has been working for me but if that's not your thing you can try a peppermint shrimp and hope you got one that eats them. I tried that and my peppermint ate my cleaner shrimp.

Thanks for the reply. What type of chemical treatment are you using?

I am still cycling my live rock so I probably do not have as many options unless I wait until my ammonia and nitrite levels fall. I stumbled on something called Berghia that supposedly eat the aiptasia. (www.saltyunderground.com). Do you think that I can wait until my rock is done cycling?

If your cycle is not done then I wouldn't add anything alive. I use red sea Aiptasia x and it's been working. Just need to make sure you are running carbon

You can wait till the cycle is over before removing them, honestly it all depends on what corals you plan on, some are quite sensitive to stings to what I hear, others don't suffer much. One trick to remove them is to put a strong current on them until they decide to detach and collect the released aiptasia, I personally like them and love to keep them, but I also have no other corals to compete with them.

The blob could be a tunicate colony, do they have holes or siphons?
