Azedenkae Posted February 21, 2015 Share Posted February 21, 2015 I use them. They are really good. Yes they remove phosphates, and polyfilter is the sole chemical filter media I use, if at all. So I guess yes, they can be used instead of carbon. Just remember that since they are a chemical filter media, poly-filter needs to be replaced when used up. Only when it turns black, basically.
