Kayman
I have had a frogspawn for about two weeks now. Over the last few days it has started to look a little less "full" I have also noticed it looks like the arms are starting to rip or tear. Is this a sign of too much flow? I have it pretty low in my tank with most all of the flow directed more towards the top. Salinity: 1.025 Calcium: 440 kH: 9 PH: 8.2 Temp: 79 Nitrates: 5 Lighting: Current USA Orbit Marine LED Here is a video of the flow after turning off 1 of 2 of my Koraila Nano 240 PHs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=un4HemlfIGw Link to comment
Kayman
Bump. Any ideas? I just saw it lose the end of an arm. Was starting to look a bit better too with less flow. Link to comment
Bingo1213
The flow in the video looks good to me!! Mine is in about that much flow if not more and is doing great! Mine has pretty strong lighting it is in the upper half of my tank in direct light from my Maxspect Razor. You might try a little more light also maybe feed it a few times with some cyclopeze or zooplankton. Sometimes when mine gets funky it is because the nutrients are too low and it needs to be fed. They seem to like more nutrients in the water column for some reason. Link to comment
redevil13
Those orbit lights only have a .25 watt led and even if you have 100 of them they are only going to put usable light for a coral down to maybe 6 inches. They have a great price point and cool features but I got rid of mine when it started to effectively starve my corals Link to comment
Maniu
It is definitely not a flow issue. My torch and hammer receives 3-4 times more flow then that. Link to comment
