Anybody had luck with saving dying LPS?

FedEx delayed my coral shipment and blamed it on "weather delays", which was bs. But when I got the coral, they all looked pretty bad. Lot's of tissue starting to recede. I dip them and in the tank they go. All of them seemed to bounce back alright. However, one of the chalices (pink boobies) has had the tissue peeling off for hours. There isn't much tissue left. This is a few little chunks. Why can I do to try to get it to survive? It is in very low light and low flow.

I got a big chalice colony that is completely skeleton. Again what do I do? Wait and hope some tissue grows back? Toss it?

Next, is a mummy eye. It seemed to be doing good. The remaining tissue looked good, but on the edges its starting to peel.

Rest of the coral seems to be recovering good.

I hope I have a chance to save the one of the chalices. They were the most expensive, being designer colonies. And when there's a shipping delay, both the seller and the shipper don't take the blame. Which means I have to eat all the money I just spent, which was a lot.

I have had great luck with saving LPS. Low light and low flow is always a must. Can you get some pictures for us? Doa's usually don't cover shipping delays I know it sucks. What vendor did you order from if I can ask? Most of the time a vendor will offer you a big discount or some free coral when this happens.

I ordered through someone on in the classifieds. I will get pictures tonight. I'm not too sure about the pink boobies colony. There's just a few scraps of tissue hanging on.

In a reef tank, nothing bad ever happens slow and nothing good ever happens fast.

Put them in a low flow, low light area and just wait it out. Don't check from day to day, you're not going to see any progress. If it's going to come back, it's going to take weeks or longer. I've had torches with just the tiniest bit of tissue come back but it takes time.

Thanks. Should I try feeding any of them that have heads left?

If they are stressed they won't eat and trying to feed them will only stress them more. Low flow/light let em get acclimated and be patient. Check em at night and see if they put out feeding tentacles, then you can try feeding. Paitence is key recovery takes weeks/months.
