Uphoric
Hi, been lurking on these forums for years, finally decided to post something. I've had a few reef tanks, my last was a Red Sea Max 130 which drove me nuts with cyano After around a year of troubles I just decided to shut it down. That was about 2 years ago.I'm from Australia and I've been interested in starting a new tank for a while now and thought I would go with this little tank until the new Red Sea Max aquariums come out, that will be my first big reef. I've yet to own anything larger than 130L/34G Equipment Lighting: Maxspect Celestial C35f --- Changed to NanoBox Tide. ATO: Hydrofill Protein Skimmer: Ghost Skim Desktop (heard some good and bad things, decided to take the gamble) Filtration: Stock caddy with stock media. (currently waiting on my InTank media Basket and Chemi Pure Blue. 18/3/15 Running purigen now, no carbon. Curious to see how it goes Live Stock: Current: 2 Clowns Pulsing Xenia Lace Coral Zoanthids Corallimorphs Torch Coral 1x Turbo Snail 1x Hitchhiker snail cowrie Duncans Hammer Coral GSP Pictures: Current FTS: I've heard you all like pics so I've been taking pics tank since it first got wet! Not great with cameras, using a Canon 5D Mark II, still have no idea how to use it though This is when i just got set up, before installing lights and other stuff, I cycled the rocks in a bucket while waiting for my tank to be delivered. Side shot of aquascape Here is my FTS after adding my clowns and installing lights, ato and protein skimmer Here is my ATO controller and pump setup, its noisy and being against the wall doesn't help :/ Here is a shot of my rear chamber featuring a clown This is the lighting unit I love it so far Clownin Last shot So far everything is going well just waiting on my skimmer to break in and waiting on my media basket. Uphoric
Thanks , I'm using a Canon 5d Mk 2.Having a bit of a problem with my clowns, they're still fighting. I've had clowns before and they fought for a bit then paired up, thinking about returning one and only keep one fish in the tank. Link to comment
Uphoric
First feed. Definitely overfed a bit, they needed me to crush the pellets into powder almost haha. Put my lid on, clows still are fighting scared one might jump out Link to comment

da1001
I like feeding mine the New Life Spectrum 1mm pellet food, he is about 1 1/4" long and he can easily eat those like a little piglet. Link to comment
Sk8n Reefer
My clowns were originally fighting so bad one developed cauliflower growths- forget the name. I had to set up a hospital tank and kept him in it for a month and a half until he got better- when I returned him to the tank they got along just fine. The one that remained became the dominant female and is growing larger Link to comment

Keep us updated to see how good your light is at growing corals. I have never seen anyone using it before. Good luck! Link to comment

Uphoric
I think Benjho is using them on his two tanks. I am also looking at the celestial since i learned i have to pay almost double in taxes for the nanobox... Wow! So far I'm really liking the celestial, I've got most of my settings on >60% I'm sure it can handle corals that demand more light. Just wish the lights would ramp up over an hour instead of a 30 mins, but thats no big deal. Added a pulsing Xenia yesterday! Here it is today doing much better Link to comment
Uphoric
UPDATE! OCNcheffy
Hows the ghost skimmer working out? I'm tempted to buy one for my Nuvo 16 tank. Link to comment
phillyclownfish
Uphoric, have the clowns been cleaning any areas? They will nip at an area and also fan an area to remove sand. Also do you know how old they are? From the pictures she looks small to be producing eggs. Link to comment
Uphoric
Hows the ghost skimmer working out? I'm tempted to buy one for my Nuvo 16 tank. A bit loud, but my water parameters are great so pretty happy with it. If you would like I can post a video of the sound also the skimmate. Any questions just ask Uphoric, have the clowns been cleaning any areas? They will nip at an area and also fan an area to remove sand. Also do you know how old they are? From the pictures she looks small to be producing eggs. Not sure how old but yes she has been cleaning rocks. Pretty sure she's to young to be laying eggs though, behaviour definately looks like it though. EDIT Think she just ate too much Link to comment
