nsiderbam
Not really sure where to start with this... This came on a piece of live rock I bought from the LFS and I didn't really notice it. However, since it's been in the tank and under some lighting, it seems to have gained more color and also looks like it is bleaching in one spot that is hidden from the light. What is it, and should I rearrange the rock? Thanks! Link to comment
danielcottle
I have something that looks very similar- short 1mm brown hairs. Mine came on florida live rock. Person at LFS said it was a type of encrusting coral but didnt know any thing else. Link to comment
jamescstein
Looks like a type of star coral. If you want it to live you need to turn the rock over so it can get some light. I've got some with florescent green tentacles. Link to comment
TheElysia
Cool stuff! I'd keep it in low light for now, and then probably acclimate it to the normal amount of light, if it's bleaching a bit. Definitely a scleractinid of sorts. Link to comment

Only time will tell how it does. Thanks for all the replies! Link to comment
