Cannon k7 f2.5 50mm macro lens good enough?

Would this lens be good enough to get some macros from my NC 28G and my nuvo fusion 10g tanks? Or is 50mm too short? I know that I can't get close enough with my standard 18-55mm lens when my corals are at the back of my two tanks. Thanks! And from what I have read, it looks like I need to get a 100mm lens to get to those corals in the back right?

i shoot with canon and i don't know what lens you are talking about. what body are you using? a cropped sensor will give you the same perspective a long lens would on a full frame. if you use manual focus and then crop the image in lightroom i would think 50 mm might be adequate.
