Copepods eating my zoas?

Just took these pics. My zoas are definitely starting to hesitate opening in the morning and I had to blow off some copepod looking bugs off of them before they finally started looking better. I took the best pics I could. I will point to them in the pics. Let me know what you think.

I took pictures of the copepods as best as I could, but I couldn't get them in focus.

Here's a pic of the zoa after being eaten.

I have a 5 gallon Pico. How long will a six line wrasse stay alive? I bought a peppermint shrimp in hopes he will do some damage.

You might be able to get away with a pink-streak wrasse. They definitely eat pods just like a sixline, but smaller and less aggressive.

Mine was small when I got it for my Evolve. It ate the copepods, amphipods, tiny baby brittle stars and food I gave it. The Evolve, though it says 8 gallons really was more like 6. They like lurking among the rocks and they'll sleep behind them and make a nest so you really don't need a big space if you get it as a baby but I personally wouldn't keep it in there more than 6 mos.

My lfs said it would be pretty expensive to bring in a pink streak wrasse. Close to 60-70 dollars. They said it would be hard to do too. I will give my peppermint shrimp a shot for a week or so and report. It seams as though the copepods are still only aggressive towards one particular polyp. I have over 100 in the tank and that one polyp is the only one. I am thinking the polyp suffered damage from an astrea star and now the copepods are helping finish it off. Just a thought though.

I'll write back in a few days regarding the progression of the symptoms.

So it turns out my copepods were the culprits. The one zoa (the worste) in the picture is now closed up well and seems to be in the healing process. I have seen a DRASTIC reduction in my cope population on the glass and otherwise. NONE have been found anywhere on any of my other zoas. The peppermint shrimp did a great job. He also cleaned off a few of the flat worms I had laying around as well as some of the small aiptasia that was beginning to become a problem. He's been quite a hero of the week!
