So my current set up is a bc 14 with around 20 different higher end zoas, a couple sps and a hammer. I noticed the other day that i started seeing what looked like brown slime algae with bubbles in it. From the research ive done it appears to be dinoflagellates. What has everyones experiences in getting rid of this? I did a black out on the tank for 48 hours the other day (i didnt put a blanket over the tank though) cleaned off all the rocks in the tank as best i could and did 2 gallon water change today. After 4 or 5 hours of my lights being on again i could see signs that i hadnt got rid of them all. So my next course of action is to clean the rock off as well as i can again in the tank, wrap a blanket in the tank for 48 to 72 hours and see where that takes me. Is it worth me trying to do the scrubbing in tank and black out again or should i just get some buckets pull everything out and scrub the rocks with hydrogen peroxide?
