Hey guys I posted a reef builders article quite a few months back on this new tank form Fluval that was said to be coming out in the new year but I haven't heard anymore news on it. I emailed fluval but they haven't gotten back to me yet. I was just curious if anyone else have heard anything about it!

Here's the original article - http://reefbuilders.com/2014/08/30/fluval-sea-evo12-nano-tank/

We were actually looking at one of these for a frag tank. Have you heard back from fluval yet?

The actually did, they said it would be releasing sometime in March!

Well it's July and no where to be seen...

Kind of like the Edge 19 gallon that they've been silent with since last year.

Pt hat should be exciting. Hopefully it isn't like when they scheduled the edges for March and we still haven't heard anything.

Mind linking where you read that

According to Fluval, evo 12 is scheduled for fall next year. But someone on this forum already has the evo 5, which is apparently set for release spring of next year, so take it with a grain of salt.

FlamingPrawn

tell us how the LEDs are

really didn't plan on using them for long... but I'll give them a try :) I have my mini tide lying around. Since it's still the peninsula style I planned on getting light demanding coral near the overflows and lower light demanding coral near the "front"

so the top is optional on these tanks?

So I actually got one about a week ago. Currently cycling, good little tank. Don't have anything to compare it to on the SW side. I have a 220g FW tank so hard to compare there either. This is my first SW tank and I am pumped to dive into the reef world.

The light sits in the top cover so with stock lighting the top is a necessity. Wondering how I can rig it to suspend over the tank. The tank build overall is not bad. The filter area has three chambers. Decent pump but will probably need to be upgraded or add additional flow to tank. One of the chambers is designed to fit the fluval PS2 skimmer but I doubt its necessary for such a small tank. Wondering if I can do a refugium in one of these chambers? The base of the tank is a neat design. They did a frame underneath forming an inch or so gap where the tank suspends above the stand. Will post pictures when I have time. Will probably start another thread on suggestions and help. So far tank parameters are perfect so im happy. I would love to see someone who knows lights to review the stock setup.

but if you get your own light, the top cover is optional right?

yea the top is not required, just if using stock lighting as the light sits in the top. The top is also black no clear. Its on Fluval USAs site if anyone wants to browse it before I post pictures.
