Will Vero 13 crack glass splash guard

Will Vero 13 crack glass splash guard about 2" from LED (height constraints)...3/16" plate

 

Will it melt Acrylic?

 

The Vero's will be on 1000mA drivers but they will be dimmed down for sure.

 

I've had glass crack before with uneven heat

It won't hurt 3/16 glass, and it won't melt acrylic, though with a lot of other LEDs it may bend it if there is not active cooling between the LED and the splash shield.

Hoping to avoid active cooling although I'm preparing for fans if it becomes necessary, I do however have excellent heatsinking and passive venting on bottom, sides and top. There are obviously more LED's in this array and I knew acrylic would eventually sag under the sustained heat, but my concern was that the Vero's would create an uneven hot spot which can and will crack glass if it's severe enough, my hope was that kicking up to 3/16 would do the trick although I wasn't sure as these are my first Vero's.making it hard to judge just how much forward heat they throw, especially in evil clusters..

 

I feel more confidant now, 3/16 glass it is
