Partagas
Hello fellow reefers. As much i have researched the above topic i cant seem to find a straight answer. Im hoping you guys can help me figure this out. Im implementing kalk drip, i have a 38 mini which i estimate a total water volume of around 35. This will be done with a RKL controller to monitor ph and time the dose. My dosing pump is a Toms aqualifter to which i have attached a valve to reduce the output. My dosing container is a spacesaver 1 gallon jug from BRS. Now my problem is that I have no idea how much to drip. I know kalk is mixed to a max of 2 tbs per gallon but then how do i dose it? I have read certain posts that say to dose 1 drop every 4-5 seconds but those were on much larger systems. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks!!! Link to comment
seabass
I would drip (not pump) it into a high flow area, and allow the pH probe to determine how much to dose. Link to comment
