dbk07
Does anyone have a clue what this growth like thing is on these zoas? It's definitely not part of them and seems to grow on the insides of the colony as well. Should I be worried? Link to comment
D Z
Weird looking, never seen that. My guess would be some kind of sponge tho. Link to comment
farkwar
Looks like some kind of egg sack. If it is, i bet it eats zoas. I wouldn't be worried, but i would get it all off, and out of the tank. Sponge, if sponge, usually beat zoas. Whats that black stuff, too. Your polyps already look pissed. Link to comment
dbk07
The black stuff should be the rock the frag is on. Should I scrape it off or just frag off the good parts? Link to comment
jamescstein
I see what looks like a vent and a siphon in the middle. It you touch it with something does it react at all? My vote would be a sponge or tunicate. If it reacts to touch its a tunicate, if not a sponge. Link to comment
