Hydroxin
I need a light for my small marina hob refugium/breeder box. The box is only 10"x5"x3" so I don't really want a huge clamp on shop light hanging off my tank. Any suggestions? Was thinking a small led strip from truelumen? Trying to keep it somewhat cheap. CronicReefer
1 or 2 of those 12" strips should be plenty of light for some chaeto. I was using 2 of the 36" truelumen strips for a while on my tank and was growing LPS/Zoas just fine. They sell an 8K spectrum for refugiums. Link to comment
Hydroxin
Thanks. You think that's the best bang for the buck without an ugly clamp on shop light ? I see they don't make those in a 10" strip. Is there any smaller ones? Link to comment
CronicReefer
Par30 bulb is probably the only other choice I would go with if you want something inexpensive. Small cheap and powerful enough for refugiums. Link to comment
farkwar
Does it need to be pretty? No A CFL with a brooder lamp works fine. Yes A Kessil Amazon sun or one of their magenta hydro lights. Link to comment
