kimberbee
Let's say someone had a Nanobox Duo over an IM Nuvo Fusion 20. Do you think that, in general, there might be enough light spill to put a small potted plant next to the tank? It would not be flush against the tank, but more like 4-6 inches away, and small/light enough to move out of the way during water changes so the glass can be cleaned well. There would be no natural sunlight in this area of the room. Thanks!! Link to comment
jedimasterben
It would really depend on the plant and what kind of growth you want from it lol. Only way to know is to try! Link to comment

natalia_la_loca
If there's no other ambient light and if there isn't any direct light hitting it from the Duo, I would think the only plants that would grow are low-light plants like philodendrons. Link to comment
amphipod
What species of plant? Link to comment
GokesReef
The nanobox duo has a 24" cube spread - the Fusion 20 is 24" wide So the numbers would say there wouldn't (shouldn't) be any light spill on the sides. Link to comment
