Easy corals to start with are soft corals like Xenia, Kenya tree, some leathers, etc.. you can also check out Zoas and Mushrooms. By then you'll inevitably have learned enough to know where to go from there :)

Best thing to do is research. Read all the stickies in the beginner forum like igreens guide to nano fish

Thanks for the advice

IMO start with a few clownfish and as the other suggested the soft corals maybe a few cheaper polyps or mushrooms. Black ray goby and Randalls pistol shrimp are easy and entertaining. Don't rush everything... just take your time and watch the tank water chemistry. N03 Po4 Mg cal alk.

IMO start w/ a pair of clowns or firefish, both very hardy and easy to take care. Corals...stay away from gsp, xenia and anthelia. I started the nano hobby 1 year ago this month and added those 3 corals 2 to 3 months after my cycle, They grow like weeds which is rewarding to see your corals thrive however my gsp has gone crazy and is very hard to cut back. My gsp may end up choking out a few zoas. If I could do it all over again I wouldn't add them. Zoas, mushrooms and acans are beautiful and are considered beginner corals. My latest addition was a duncan w/ 5 heads... it has quickly become my favorite. Take it slow, don't add several at a time and best of luck.

Zoas for sure if you have interest in them! LPS...i would recommend acans, blastos or trumpet to start. You shouldn't have an issue w/ these. I have never had an anemone, always wanted to add one for my clowns but don't have room... thank you gps, anthelia and xenia :) You purchase lighting yet?
