RK_tek
The jarquarium(sp?) is probably the smallest. Mike at micro-reefs makes them Pretty small too. He has a temperate tank that's 2 gallons Link to comment

Cameron6796
If you are looking for something small because room is an issue I wouldn't get a small aio I would get a small tank and ad a filter and lights to it. You will need to upgrade the stock lights and pump anyways on an aio Link to comment

I specifically made the decision to buy a standard tank and add a filter instead of buying another AIO after dealing with the Spec V for a year. I wanted a removable filter that I could pull off the tank and clean away from my desk - something that is not possible with an AIO. Link to comment
Cameron6796
Yeah that was kind of my point ^ Link to comment
steveysingle
You make a good point. I want AIO to keep it low key. Safety committee has already commented that don't want wires n stuff all over the place and I figure an AIO will be cleaner n less of an issue if it looks legit. If that makes sense? I don't want to keep anything crazy I just want some zoos n a little tiny fish or shrimp. Link to comment
kylhcky
fluval spec 2 or 3, all you'll need to do is upgrade the return pump to a minijet 606. put a par30 over it and hook up whatever ato floats your boat. Link to comment
jtwisconsin
Fluval Spec 2 or 3 would probably make sense then. I still think they are a little more work to keep clean than having a standard tank with a HOB filter, but they also look much cleaner to the "safety committee". Just don't forget that you almost certainly need some type of auto top off system to go with it for a small tank left unattended over the weekend. And if your office is like mine, we shut the heat down on the weekends. I have a 100w heater in my 6 gallon tank because the 50w couldn't keep it warm enough. Link to comment
