Zorro237
Hey NR I have been running a 16g for 2 months now and just added my first toadstool 5 days ago. Recently white patches have covered most of the toadstool and it has drooped a bit. I know toadstool's molt but I wanted to get the community's perspective just to make sure. I have added two pictures, one before the white patches showed and a current photo. Photos are 2 days apart. Is this the coral molting or is this something else? Thanks! Link to comment

Amphiprion1
Looks like typical shedding behavior. Strong, broad, but indirect flow will help speed the process and the coral will appreciate the same in the long term, as well. Link to comment
Mr. Microscope
Just typical toadstool sloughing. Nothing to worry about. The older it gets, the less it will do it. Just beware if the slough gets caught on other corals. It will harm them. Keep high flow in your tank and running carbon helps as well. You can use a pipette or turkey baster to help along the process. Link to comment
