Hey all I ordered about 15lb of rock from reefcleaners and added about 12lbs of that with about 5lbs of the 10lbs from the NC (got rid of the real crap looking stuff). I made the move 1/8/15 from the NC12 to the 20L

I am starting to get some brown on my rocks and when i hit it with my pipette it blows right off and the snails are loving it mowing right thru it. I am also getting some growth on the glass but soft and wipes off with mag cleaners.

just curious if i should add a few extra snails/hermits or just keep doing water changes? I have been doing 2 gallon changes a day to lower the Nitrates and keep them lower.

With ammonia being undetectable, it's fine. The brown stuff on the rock is likely diatoms. I wouldn't add anything else for a few weeks as your tank's bio-filter has been reduced to 5 lbs of rock. The dry rock will become live over time and support a larger bio-load.
