1 gallon arylic pico tank

So this will be my first shot at a pico reef. I'm going to construct the tank myself out of 1/4 inch acrylic, and the dimensions are 10" x 5" x 5". The online calculator said it was approximately 1.1 gallons. I am looking at a 2x9w Power Compact light and am still searching for a source of heat. For filtration I'm going to run a red sea nano filter along side my 1-2 pounds of sand, and around the same amount of live rock rubble. As far as stocking this is what I'm looking at.

Fish: 1x

Red Head Goby

Clown Goby

Neon Goby

Panda Goby

or Eviota Goby

Help me choose^ :D

Inverts:

Sexy Shrimp 1-2

Blue Leg Hermit 1-3

Bubble Bee snails

Ceriths Snails (hatched in one of my other tanks)

Maybe a Scarlet Hermit

Corals:

Mushrooms

NPS

Zoas

GSP

Please suggest any you have in mind

Macro Algae:

Caulerpa

Gracilaria

Chaetomorpha

etc

Whatever i can get my hands on

I would greatly appreciate any input/advice/suggestions you have. :)

That all sounds great. May I give a hint? First start the pico without any inverts or fish. According to my experience, fish or inverts produce a high water load. Maybe your macro algea can purify water, when they have established. But this needs time. About NPS: what about tubastrea? When it is not firmly fixed in the reef, it can be feeded in a bowl to save the water from nutrients.

I am curious about your pics.

Thank you so much for your reply! I have seen your 0.7 gallon pico, i really like it. i am in the process of building the tank now i will have pics as soon as i can ;) i will be using cycled water from my existing tank, but i will give the tank sometime before i add anything the has a lot of bio load. It is funny you mentioned the tubastrea, my local fish store currently has one right now :D
