Hey everyone,

I bought a pond plant basket to use to add Seachem Matrix in my sump. This is kind of a broad question but is there any reason I should be concerned about the plastic?

I use the round ones to hold bubble tip splits with no problems.

Check the recycle label number.

Good thought, except they don't have one...

It should be perfectly safe, as long as it isn't any of the "leeching" plastics like number 3, and 7 especially, several other plastics are bad also.

Probably fine. No idea what amphipod is mumbling about. He already said there was no number on it, kid.
You setting up a tank again? Noticed you have been pretty active out of the lounge lately :)

That doesn't mean every time you peer outside the lounge you get nasty to the other members.

Sorry for hurting your feelings. Read posts closer before posting. You're just posting whatever is on your mind and confusing folks.

I was giving a pinch of info regarding potentially dangerous plastics for aquariums because of their leeching potential, much along the lines of OP's concerns.
