Texag12
I have some zoas and acans in my tank currently. I'm looking to make a list of corals that I want for the future. I know frogspawn and or hammer and ricordea are on there. Any suggestions for corals to provide some height? Link to comment
FlamingPrawn
Trying to stick mainly LPS/softies? A nice plate is always my favorite. I love my short tentacle green. if you're thinking SPS any type of birds nest or digi are also a good choice Link to comment
Texag12
I was initially attracted to Lps so I wanted to get my fix with acans and maybe a favia down the road, but now I'm wanting to transition to kind of taller/bushier/branch/free flowing stuff Right now I have zero fish but would like a goby or clown in the future (maybe both if it looks like my tank can keep both safely) Link to comment

opaquelace
gorgs. i plan to get a few gorgs for my spec soon. Agree on the gorgs. They can make a tank imo, especially a small one. I have just one right now in my 10 gallon and I love it. Link to comment
Partially Submerged
A tree coral makes a nice solitaire coral and is easily trimmed when it gets too big. Also, other less aggressive LPS can be a great choice because of their relatively slow growth. I love trumpet corals. When they get too big, you have an incentive for a new tank Right now I have zero fish but would like a goby or clown in the future (maybe both if it looks like my tank can keep both safely) No, it can't. Some tiny goby, yes, but not a clown. The fact that so many people manage to keep clowns alive in tiny tanks, doesn't mean they should be kept in them. Clown tanks should start at around 20 gallons. 55 and upwards would be even better. Everyone who has ever observed clowns in a large tank will agree with me. Edit: Oh, and I need to mention this because I am so much in love with porcelain anemone crabs: If you have the space to have a small rock isolated from the rest, get some green star polyp. Then get a porcelain anemone crab. They will host GSP just fine, and they are beautiful, totally reef-safe, and have a whole bunch of cute behavioral patterns. And they barely need any space because they like to stay in their "anemone" anyways. Much better than a clown in a small tank. Link to comment
