whats up guys so found a pretty good on a curve 5 for $100

 

do you think it will be an overkill for 32g with 20g sump?

 

any pros and cons about the skimmer you guys care to share?

No such thing as overkill with a skimmer.

 

As long as it fits, that is.

 

I have a BMC5 on a 40b, its pretty much maxed out.

 

Pros, its a good skimmer for $200, great one for $100.

Cons, other than not being a BMC7 or Vertex Omega, none.

 

The size of a skimmer should be determined by the amount of life and feeding, not gallons of the tank.

to clean just soak in vinegar?

Get a 5 gallon bucket.

 

2 gallons vinegar.

 

Skimmer in bucket, run at full skim over night.

 

That will clean it. Rinse it. Put in sump. It will start skimming immediately.

Awesome skimmer. I use one on a heavily stocked 40b and I have to dump the cup full of dark skim every week. Broke in overnight and took very little adjusting.
