Justin MD
I have already grown tired of adding water to the little Nuvo16 I set up. I have a cool wine box that I am going to convert into my junction box for all the plugs. I was thinking about getting a cool glass jug or something. Looks like the tank uses near 32oz or water a day so a gallon jug should last about a week. Anyone else have some cool ideas or have seen some unique set ups? Link to comment
jestep
You can get 5 gallon or smaller glass jars. They should look really nice compared to a bucket or trash can that people normally use for ATO reservoirs. Link to comment
jmorriso001
Wine carboy's would work well, hand-blown glass bottles come in 1 gallon I think up to 2-3g containers. Inexpensive can be ordered online. Problem would be getting an ato pump if thats your setup, a dosing pump would handle it though i would imagine. Link to comment
Justin MD
So a carboy or a demijohn looks like it would be a cool idea. Maybe one wrapped in wicker or leather. Telling when it is empty or not is another issue but a minor one. Would one of the Tom's Aqualift pumps work? I am trying to think of a way to plumb it into a top off without looking weird with hoses and such. Link to comment
lkoechle
My 85's ato is in a bookcase that we purchased doors for (ikea billy bookcase) we have the battery back ups and all the and the aqualifter in there as well. We drilled a small hole in the back for the power cords and airline tubing. I could be an option if you have a bookcase sitting next to it Link to comment

For something like a carboy, an aqualifter or a peristaltic pump would probably be best since they don't need to be sitting the ATO container like a Tunze osmolator. Rigid airline tubing might be a cleaner look inside the container than flexible tubing as well. Link to comment
Justin MD
I don't have anything for an ATO right now. I'm trying to keep the whole area visibly clean or wires and equipment. Thanks for your thoughts. I might be able to use a stopper with a hidden hose or something. Then just run the clear hardline on the inside if I use a clear bottle. Link to comment
