There are 4 bolts that go into the light that also connect to the wire. Then you just connect some eye hooks to the ceiling, preferably screwed into the studs. If you can't find the studs or they're not in line where you want to hang the light, let me know and I'll give you another way to hang it

Check out the beginnings of my two 40B threads - used simple electrical conduit bolted to the tank stand and the factory hanging kit, with no issues to note... :)

What would you suggest as to another way to hang the light?

I used conduit pipe. Use a pipe bender to get the angle you want. I spay painted them black then used conduit clamps to fasten them to the back of my stand. I have the lights sitting on top for now,but you can use the hanging kit on the poles. Hope this helped.

If you can't find the studs, they sell bolts with a circle on the end of them. Pick up some toggles, and use the eye bolts with the toggles. It's basically a safe way to mount things to drywall without access to the studs

Measuring tape, or yard stick, and a level. Use the level to draw a straight line from the center of your tank up the wall, then onto the ceiling. Then measure the distance from the center of your tank to the hanger mount holes on your light. Mark those dimensions onto the ceiling. Then do the same thing for the front to back dimension, so you can center your light.

Damn that's hard to explain. Painters tape is your friend. Just measure everything. Twice. Good luck
