how many holes can I safely drill

If I've got a tank that is 60"x24"x12" (lwh) and is made of 3/8 untempered, would it be safe to put two 1 1/2" holes in one of side (24") for an overflow?

Oh ya, you could even put 3-4 1.5" holes along the 12" side if you were careful and spaced them 1.5" apart. You can also drill fairly close to the rim or edge as long as you are 1/2 the size of the hole away from the edge. So you could have the top of your 1.5" hole 3/4" from the rim. If its a 2" hole it should be 1" away from an edge.
