Moolelo
Aloha All! I was wondering if Dave on anyone else could give me some feedback on what could happen when a duo is run for 12 hours or so without fan? My timer screwed up and didn't turn fan on for a whole day, I caught it late and the housing was scalding hot. Its been a week or two I think now and the light doesn't seems to be outputting any different, though the right chip violets might be even dimmer than violets normally are? They still light up, just are visibly dimmer than the left side now. Link to comment

I am working on something to make it easier for people. The violets always look dimmer than the others. Plus it is not good to look directly at it! Hope this makes you feel better! -Dave P.S - We need photos of your tank Link to comment
LynkUK
This is kinda related although mine is the retro. With mine I just plugged the fan into the same power socket as the controller. With everything else running, and being in a hood, I cant hear the fan, but as long as the controller has power I know the fan does. I was going to run the fan on a timer, but man, I just know I would have done the same thing as you. Link to comment

brad908
That's asking for very early failure. But saved my ears from having to turn the tv up so high to drown out the fans. The fans in the new fixtures are great though. Link to comment
