What types of coral dips does everyone use?

I am looking into buying a dip for pest control and a dip for fragging.

I am most likely going to purchase CoralRX for pest control when introducing new corals to my systems.

As for fragging, I am going to start fragging a little bit to share some corals with friends.

I was looking into iodine dips to help prevent disease after cutting into coral tissue.

What type of iodine dip is the best?

 

What types of dips does everyone use for these purposes or any other purpose that I did not mention?

I use revive. it actually kills redbugs, and isn't as big of an irritant on smoother skinned acros.

2 caps per 1000mL is my usual dip dosage. it's a bit potent, but it works for me.

I have had good luck with CoralRX! It has yet to harm any coral I have added to my tank and I have used it on sensitive corals such as gorgonians and acros.

Lugols, dont use this on echinata

 

Im going to start dipping zoa and palys in H2O2, nudis can get through the above dips

I've had more luck annoying corals with lugols than anything else. I just use Revive these days and it seems to work well!

I don't really frag much, it's mostly for new additions.

I've never had success with h2o2 for bryopsis beyond 2 weeks, then it comes right back. Are you suggesting mixing the 2 for complete eradication of bryopsis?

No as a prophylactic treatment. Obviously has not worked to well as I am battle Bryopsis again.

I've found tuxedo urchins, lettuce slugs and water changes goes a long way along with peroxide treatment to push it back. It never fully goes away but it becomes manageable at least.

I got an urchin who does an awesome job of eating it He hops around. . Water changes already doing. I just started a 3 times a week H2O2 spray to affected areas Seeing some whitening of the algae.

 

Water is too clean :/

Well i appreciate everyone's comments very much,

I am thinking i will go with coral rx for new corals being introduced to my system.

And seachem reef dip for fragging corals as the iodine dip.

 

I will buy these from my trusted website and let everyone know where i bought from (for a reduced price) after I receive my items

I am not too into acros, I have heard of using this though. Mainly the only sps I will get is birdnest or digi. Let me know if it applies to them too. thank you

I just use revive on those, now im no SPS big wig, and not trying to represent myself as such. But Ive seen larger tanks manage to thrive with minor red bug infestations, but quickly wreck a nano. But with BN or digi you dont have those to worry about.
