Do i have to put some fishfood in a tank with real reef rock?

I have just set up my fluval edge with the marine pack 3. I filled it up with salt water and i used real reef rock. Now i am wondering if i have enough organic material in the tank to start the cycle. Or should i add some fish food?

This is live rock, not dry rock, right? If so, no, you don't have to add anything as long as you start adding livestock reasonably soon.

Yeah, if it is live rock and has organics on it already, then no, don't need feeding. I personally would just feed the tank anyways, because why not. XD

If the tank isn't stocked, then a few flakes would be good organic matter to feed the micro organisms and bacteria.
