GHill762
+1 go to local home depot or hardware store Link to comment
Dramad1
Yeah I've been to the local hd and they didnt have any and the hard ware store only carrys the egg crate baskets. The lfs has some but sseemslike they are asking double the money. 25$ for a 12x12 piece seems a bit extreme. Link to comment
Deleted User 8
Ace Hardware? Lowes? Any lighting store? Did you look yourself or did some HD monkey shrug shoulders and tell you they didn't have it? Pretty common stuff. Buzz Link to comment
Dramad1
I looked all over hd. Local hardware store is an ace hardware and all they have is the baskets. Ill check Lowes this weekend I suppose. Link to comment
slowngreen
That's a bummer. My home depot has it in the same isle as the shop light fixtures. Link to comment

Marine Depot
Does marine depot carry egg crate. I could have swore they did but can not find it. Anyone know? We do not presently for some of the reasons stated within this thread although I passed along a link here to our buyers so they can reconsider. Hope everyone is having a joyful holiday season! Dramad1
I was able to find it at home depot. Like stated above, found in the lighting section and sold under the name louver. I picked up two 24×48" sheets @ 11$ and change a piece. They had a bunch, I couldn't believe it. I must have passed it a 100 times or so and never seen it. Thanks to all that guided me in the right direction. After the new year my build will continue and I will get to play with the louver sheets. I plan to use them under the rock structure to help evenly distribute the load on the bottom glass and also act as a wider support for my rock structure. I'm thinking zip ties should do but I may use some epoxy to mount the rock to the crate. Anyone have any tips or tricks? Lmk, I could use the ideas as I'm unsure if zip ties will hold up over time. Thanks again for guiding me in the right directions. Merry Christmas reefers! Link to comment
Deleted User 8
I got some at Home Despot today. It was in the building supplies area across from the insulation. They had some diffusers in the lighting area, but not egg crate. The price sticker on the rack said "Egg Crate". Buzz Link to comment
