BriFran9
Just curious if one AI sol blue fixture would be enough for a 30 gallon long tank, im moper concerned about the coverage area of the light, not the wattage Link to comment
lkoechle
It depends on how you want your coral laid out. I had one fixture perpendicular to a 20L and it was more than enough. I have two fixtures parallel to the tank over an 85 shallow (4 ft long) and its more then fine. If you hang yours parallel, I think you'd be good on coverage. If not, it'd really only be the edges affected. Link to comment
BriFran9
well it would make sense to run the light parallel with the tank, I just read on AI website that they recommend one module every 18-24in. on a tank thats less then 30in depth so i would think one module in the middle of the tank would be fine Link to comment
lkoechle
The only reason I specified is the old hanging kit (what I was using on the 20) made it difficult to hang the lights parallel. The new EXT kits fix that which is over the 85 Link to comment
