Where to put carbon & mechanical filter on RSM 130D?

Where is the best place to put a bag or carbon (or chemi pure elite) and a mechanical fliter (I most like to use floss)?

Is your tank an AIO or are you run night. A sump, HOB. Let us know a little more about what you are running

It is a stock Red Sea Max 130D system running stock skimmer (no sump).

 

It does have a non-stock LED light.

I put my carbon and gfo in a bag in the first chamber. (The one the water enters through). I use a media rack which has made it easier to organize and hold.

With the stock skimmer the only good spot for proper flow is in the chamber of death (pump chamber). If you put it above the skimmer it blocks a lot.

 

Best thing is in a media basket. Ditch the stock skimmer and grab a Tunze 9001.
