Newtybar
Anyone have any experience with these? Some say to avoid like the plague since they are so invasive. Some say it will not outcompete other coral and should be ok to add if you are ok with filling the empty space with these. http://www.vividaquariums.com/p-6432-blue-snowflake-polyps.aspx Link to comment
Pinner Reef
I still like them. They can however get the better of even some SPS colonies. LPS can sting them back. I'd suggest putting them on an isolated rock in the sand and you should be fine. Link to comment
Mathew18
I have seen those take over just like xenia does. Kind of reminds me of kudzu. Very invasive. Link to comment
davidncbrown
Super invasive. I had to scrap tons of live rock from our original nano cube because the stuff was all over it! Link to comment
clownfitch
From my experience SPS is the only coral that can be covered and smothered by it. Zoas reach over it, mushrooms cover it, etc.. It looks nice when its used to fill in the empty spots on your rock. Just keep in mind that it grows over anything that cant "reach" higher. Link to comment
jestep
We've had local members completely tear their tanks down because of these. They look great but can be very aggressive as others have stated. Link to comment
Newtybar
Thanks for the input, I'm tempted, but will avoid. Link to comment
HVani
I read about this all the time but mine have barely spread from their rock in the years I have had them. I personally love them. Link to comment
opaquelace
They will compete for space (and win) with other softies like zoanthids. It doesn't matter if they're isolated to an island either. They can and will jump to the main rockwork. Avoid them. Link to comment
