New fish, if no net, then what?

Hi all,

 

I'm looking at purchasing some Blue Eyed / Longspine Cardinals. The guide says to not use a net since it would hurt the fish due to their mucus membrane.

 

After acclimation how do I get the fish into my tank without adding the fish shop water?

Can you scoop them out with, or pour them into your hands? I have transferred several of my fish by hand.
