Kongor88
Found this guy in my algae scrubber. Anyone have an idea what it is? Looks like a bristle worm to me but I want to make sure. Thanks http://s1358.photobucket.com/user/Kongor88/media/IMG_0051_zps15569f59.jpg.html'> Link to comment
CronicReefer
Probably a member of the bristleworm family. There are so many different varieties. Could be a bloodworm as well. Link to comment
jestep
Looks like a type of fireworm. A lot of debate on whether they're beneficial or pests, but they can sting. The one you have look like the coral eating variety - Hermodice carunculata. http://www.chucksaddiction.com/hitchworms.html Link to comment
FishFrog
Eeeeek! I'm so sorry I clicked on this thread. I don't know why I keep reading the worm stuff. That being said, does look like a bearded fireworm. Link to comment
Kongor88
Well I believe I ID'd it as Genus Pareurythoe from the above link provided by jestep, looks like he isn't staying Link to comment
amphipod
I have one that looks just like that, named it pinky and I feed it occasionally when it comes out for food. Its favorite so far has been chicken slivers about the size of a bb pellet Link to comment
amphipod
I've also seen pinky curling around my aiptasia when he appears, looks like a mini anaconda for a few seconds Link to comment
Kongor88
i put him in my QT for now since its barren lol, something to look at until I need to QT or hospitalize a fish Link to comment
amphipod
Try feeding it raw meat and give him an old clam shell rock or something to hide under and see if he accepts the food. Pinky has been actually quite fun to observe when he's out. Link to comment
