jestep Posted November 25, 2014 Share Posted November 25, 2014 The hydors are cheap but they almost need replaced every year. Between my 3 tanks, I've gone through about 5 of them in 3 years. I switching my tanks to the via aqua titanium ones and it's a solid heater. Great digital thermostat. More expensive, but so far looks like it's going to last a long time and in a small tank, it doesn't take much of a failure to cook the tank. Not sure what tank you have, but the 50w fits in a fluval spec, so it's small. Link to comment
