Fluffeh
I'm pursuing potentially purchasing a AIO shallow tank... and I just want some thoughts on this. If anyone has one I would love to see some pictures. I want this to go into my living room so I want it to look pleasing to the eyes. Also - what are suggestions on dimensions? I have a biocube29 right now and I'd like to stay in a that range in terms of gallons. Thanks! Link to comment
ninjamyst
Right now, I have a 12g 18 x 18 x 9 shallow by PicOAquariums. They make custom tanks too. I haven't seen that many AIO shallow tanks. Most are longs or cubes. CADLight has a 45g shallow but with a sump. some pics: Link to comment
Fluffeh
ninja - that CADlight is not a AIO correct? I do not want to mess with anything other than an AIO right now, and I'm trying to not break the bank. I'm leaning toward a picoaquariums tank. Link to comment
ninjamyst
yea, it's not an AIO. I really haven't seen that many AIO shallow tanks. JBJ has a shallow frag tank that you can use for normal reef - http://www.marinedepot.com/JBJ_20_Gallon_Rimless_Frag_Tank_Aquarium_-JBJ_Lighting-JB01412-FIAQPO-vi.html . But I am not too sure of JBJ quality nowadays.... Link to comment
jabeuy
I have one! It's 36X18X13, and works out to be slightly less than 36g give or take, so pretty close to the biocube29 in gallonage. There are a bunch of pictures here: http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/352546-shallow-aio-36-x-18-x-13/ Link to comment
Azedenkae
I like the AIO shallow tanks. Innovative Marine do some really nice big ones. Even distribution of light, ample swimming length an width, and yet not so costly. It's great! Link to comment
