Hello,

I just saw this little guy climbing up the glass, and I have since removed him to a plastic cup.

Good, bad, or?? The only thing I can think of is that he hitchhiked in a new Acan frag - but I dipped it, so not sure. :( Hope you can see the pics okay.

Thanks everyone!

Asterina Star not to worry about

Hi Albert

Can you elaborate on conflicting reports regarding asterina star? Some treat them as pests and others advice to just let them be...... any thoughts?

If you have the white ones you should not have to worry about them, they get eaten by some corals and even some fish but if you have the black ones (different species) those are said to cause harm to Zoanthids

Hope that helps

That is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for clarification.

Thank you. I had the same concern on the conflicting reports. This one is white on the underside and maybe a beige on the top.

So the concensus is to throw him back in?

Not to worry if you saw one or two there are probably more in the tank so no need to throw them back in but if you want to that is ok too of course but since there are probably more it is up to you

And since it is white and not black they are ok
