PicO 5 Gallon, Plans Changed

Looking to set up a pico in my new office. Have my eye on a Deep blue 2.2(8 x 8 x8) rimless cube combo at my LFS. It comes with their little HOB filter I fugure I can use for a bag of GAC, and a Solar Flare light. I figure the light is crap, so looking for suggestions on what to use for lighting. Nothing fancy, just some zoas and maybe a LPS or two. Current plan:
- Deep Blue 2.2 rimless cube
-Deep Blue mini HOB filter w/ media(GAC) sponge. I might actually opt for a small Aquaclear....

Plans changed, I will be placing an order for a PicO 5 gallon in the next few days. Think I will either go with a Nanobox Fixture or something similar.....

- Heater, undecided
-Lighting, undecided

Stocking list:
- Assorted zoas
- Acans
-Possibly a small Hammer

- Sexy Shrimp(3-4)
-assorted snails

Looking for some lighting and general advice. New to picos....

The Solar Flare light is very weak and doesn't have a good color temp (around 10k i think). I would recommend the Coral Compulsion PAR 30 14 watt bulb. You can use it in any desk lamp fixture you choose and comes in either 18K or 22K (superblue) color temps. It's sold on Coral Compulsions website for 59.99..http://coralcompulsion.com/ I think you will find that PAR bulbs are the most popular form of LED lighting for under 200.00

You can also purchase their gooseneck mount for about 40$ or use any desk lamp fixture. Here is a photo of mine using a DIY fixture on my 1.8 gallon IQ3. I also am using another PAR 30 and a PAR 38 on 2 other tanks using desk clamp on Architect lamp fixtures.

Thanks, was kinda looking for something dimmable. I might just hook up a small Nanobox Flare or something, Daves little fixtures are killer too. Price wise, the PAR would be better.......hmmmmmm

Plans might change, I may consider a PicO 5 gallon AIO, at that price point I would be better off, with a better filtration system. At 180.00 for the PicO and 225.00 for the Nanobox Flare( maybe even pick up a dim-able PAR) Im looking at under 400.00 ready to go, even less with a PAR light.I might even try and throw together a DIY LED if I can figure out exactly what I need. I imagine Jedi Ben or someone else can guide me.....Hmmmmm, wonder if PicO is gonna have any Black Friday sales......hmmmmmmmm
