musicman1968
I just setup my 5.5g and is currently going through it's cycle. This gives me time to shop for a light. The tank is 16" long. I'm wanting to do a mixed reef and I'm looking for more color pop than growth, while nice would be both. Can anyone recommend one that won't break the bank? I'm looking to upgrade down the road to a biocube. So I don't want to spend a ton on lighting. I found a 12" wavepoint light on amazon, and read some reviews on it. I'm leaning that way but I would like some input from others. Since I'm new to the forums here I guess I can't post the link just yet. Link to comment
Halo_003
Have you considered a 22K Superblu PAR 30 from Coral Compulsion? Link to comment
musicman1968
I have but they are out of stock at the moment. Link to comment
Reefkid88
Maybe look into a DIY spectrum light from BML (BuildMyLed). Relatively cheap and heard nothing but good thinks about them. Link to comment
musicman1968
I will check them out. I hate having an oddball size tank. LOL Worried 12" won't give enough coverage and 18" will be over by an inch on each end. I guess I could always do the 12" and put low light corals on the ends of the tank. Link to comment
