jamescon85
Hi all, on saturday i added a pair of percs, and at night i noticed they pretty much just stay at the surface. Today i though one was dead he was next to the the filter intake, i turned the light on and 10 minutes later they are both swimming around grinning at me. Everything else in the tank sleeps in the rocks and caves as soon as i turn the lights off. The other fish i have is a firefish and a green chromis. Is this just them still getting acclimatised? k4ndyk1ng
My clownfish used to sleep in the front right corner in a hole in the sand, sometimes the tangs joined in lol Link to comment
Azedenkae
If the fish are otherwise fine I'd say it's normal. One of my Clowns sleep near the surface as well, basically it happens when there is no other choice. My Clarkii lies down on its side on the sand, a bit curled up like it's dead. So yeah. >.< Link to comment
CronicReefer
Mine sleep right at the surface on the curved part of my return nozzle or right behind it where there is no flow. Link to comment
jamescon85
ok cheers thats good to know. I may just put some foam in between the slits just to be 100% sure that they dont get sucked in Link to comment
CronicReefer
Clown fish are lazy so anywhere they can lay without any effort they will always hang out there. Even during the day the female clown is always laying on my return nozzle if the male stays nearby. Link to comment
