hi.

i am fairly new at this tank stuff i have a 30 gallon rimless.. can any one give me some good advice on how to properly dose my tank based on my levels.

Phospates: 0.06

KH: 9.0

Ca: 450

Mg:1400

i feel like my tank is not as stable as it could be. i have reef foundation a,b, &, c but don't exactly know how to use it.

thank you ,

Those numbers look great .

However you can't just test once and have a set dosing schedule laid out. You need to trend your test results for a length of time (say daily for a week or more) to get an idea of what is being consumed in your tank, so you know what to dose and how much. Then as you add new coral, or if you change your salt mix, etc. you will have to adjust your dosing as needed.

the reason why i ask is because some of my corals are turning white..so that means the phosphates are too high right? i do regular water changes i just dont add nutrients at all...

If you had high phosphates, they would be turning brown. Alk swings can burn the tips of acros white.

I might add to what jbb said and that is try to test at or close to the same time as you can. I try to do mine around 8:00 p.m. or so.

And your numbers look like what I try to keep mine at.

i had a red montipora that turned completely white over like 2 weeks.and i have a super cool green and blue brain and the sides are starting to turn white.. i will try to turn down the lights but my AI Hydras are already down to 50% i never had it higher then that since i got them. i just don't know how to use the nutes to there full potential..how do i learn that.. any cheats?

Leds are extremely powerful. Just because they dont look bright to the naked eye, doesn't mean they aren't doing their job. You mention "hydraS" how deep is your tank, and how high above the water are your lights ? 50% power can be a killer if too close, also you can't just toss new coral in at that intensity and just let them go. They need to be acclimated to the light. AI has an acclimation mode that you can program lower settings into for new additions, use that or star with each coral low in the tank and slowly move it up over a week or two.
