Cycling tank - water change....

Hi there, I am currently cycling a 6G nano tank. Cycling with LR. I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to do any water changes while its cycling but my ammonia today is at 4.0 (yesterday was 0) - is this getting a little high? Should I do a small water change or just leave it?

Do you have any livestock in the tank? If not, I would just leave it. Over time as the beneficial bacteria builds the ammonia will lower along with your nitrite.

Also, welcome to Nano-Reef :D

Unfortunately I noticed yesterday that the top lot of LR has a lot of aiptasia growing.... very tiny at the minute (2-3mm). Thats frustrating.

Agreed, kill it with fire. (turkey baster/syringe with boiling/very hot water applied directly on the source should kill it).

Just don't burn yourself :)
