:) My 10 gallon tank is great all parameters are perfect! The only question I have is what should I get for my circulation pump. i have a aquaclear 110 pumping right around 400 gph all the way turned down (is still making the sand move from the front of the tank to the sides). So I was wondering if I could cause a turbulent by adding in a circulation pump to not only change the flow of the aquaclear but give more than just downward flow on the tank. Any help or suggestions? Btw i have a few zoas and mushrooms and a branching torch in the tank and as of now they look better in my tank than where they came from ;) . I will see if I can get pictures this weekend.

koralia nano 240 or 425 Depending on how much flow you want... If you were local I would give you a good deal on my 240 nano I have laying around.

Bummer I would absolutely snag that right away because that is what I was looking at getting next thing where do i place the pump? (Never have used circulation pumps before)

Since you are using an AC 110 that is probably breaking up the surface plenty... I would probably put it on one side of the tank and angle it so the flow hits the back wall and breaks up dead spots behind the rock...

Look at other people's tanks in the tank threads, most usually put it on the side or back and aim it up for surface agitation and flow, but with the AC 110 you probably have plenty of that...

And just a heads up after the 240 gets broken in and covered with algae etc the flow is very gentle....

Will a 425 do the same because I would rather try to have a high flow then a gentle flow. last question if I use a timer on my circulation pump will it burn it out, When i say timer I mean like a plug in timer.

If you like higher flow get the 425 for sure. Will slow some with algae build up etc but not as bad as the 240.. Should be all the flow you would need in a 10. If you do use a timer I would make it only turn on and off once or twice a day not like every fifteen mins or something... That would no doubt ruin and wreck your pump...
